Ellis will perform songs from his latest release "The Dragonfly Races," a family album comprised of tunes he wrote for his children. Catherine P. Lewis of The Washington Post says, "'The Dragonfly Races' may look and feel like a children's record, but it sounds like a record for people who have children: It's a collection of songs whose bounciness and subject matter are kid-friendly but whose content is sophisticated enough for adults. Paul's songs seem like fairy tales set to music..."

Ellis will do a 45-minute afternoon set. He will also perform a full show with special guest Antje Duvekot beginning at 7:30pm.

Says Ellis in a recent interview, "That's my goal - to do two shows a day, preferably in the same venue. Then adults who like me can bring their kids in the afternoon, take them home, get a babysitter and come back and see me again at night doing my other material."

Ellis Paul is a critically-acclaimed singer, songwriter, poet and troubadour. The recipient of thirteen Boston Music awards, he has been hailed by The Boston Globe as "a songwriter's songwriter." His distinctive and engaging vocal style provide the perfect complement to his literate and urbanely romantic lyrics.

Performing Songwriter Magazine writes "Ellis Paul is a master storyteller. He combines the sensibilities of Bob Dylan and Bill Morrissey and delivers it with a passion that sets him apart in the company of a new breed of songwriters."

Ellis' fourteenth and most recent release is "The Dragonfly Races," a family album of nature and the senses, written for his own kids and full of his wishes for them in the world.

Antje Duvekot is a quickly rising start on the Boston music scene, and winner of the prestigious Kerrvile Folk Festival's "Best New Folk Award." In December of 2007, The Bank of America featured Antje's song "Merry Go Round" in a national TV advertising campaign seen by millions, including a Super Bowl audience.

Former Rolling Stone rock critic Dave Marsh says of Antje, "As far as I can tell, she's the whole package. I've had this reaction once in the past 10 years, and that was the first time I heard Patty Griffin. And the reasons are very, very similar: that package of terrific writer and singer, with the instincts to do things right, over and over and over."
